You can use this RJ45/XLR adapter box for both audio and DMX. This way you can bridge large distances without having to buy and lay enormous lengths of cable. If you already have LAN cables, of course. For example, if you have run LAN cables from the studio to the control room, you can plug in your microphone directly, for example, if there is a LAN connection in the wall. The same goes for DMX. Wherever LAN is present, you can plug in directly this way and thus save on DMX/XLR cables.
